Laughter Clubs

Laughter Yoga (Hasya Yoga) is a series of playful, interactive exercises designed to stimulate laughter.  It provides an opportunity for adults to be playful and to explore and express joy.  Laughter Yoga reminds us we can laugh through our bodies, without the need to wait for something funny to happen.

Developed by Indian physician, Dr. Madan Kataria, laughter yoga is designed to help people connect with their inner child and experience being joyful and playful.

Recent research in the field of gelotology (humor studies) has proven that laughter benefits the circulatory, respiratory, cardio-vascular and immune systems of the body and truly is one of the best medicines available. Click here for a short video documentary on Using Laughter to Fight Cancer.

A Laughter Club is a non-profit group that practices Laughter Yoga on a weekly basis. Laughter Clubs are run on a drop-in, by donation basis and are intended to fulfill the mission of the Laughter Yoga Movement- “Joy, Health, and World Peace through Laughter.” For a listing of worldwide Laughter Clubs, visit
